Research Sprint

The CAIRIBU Research Sprint was a two day virtual event that occured on July 18-19, 2025. Through the Research Sprint, CAIRIBU brought together established investigators in urobiome, uro-aging, and voiding dysfunction research to identify critical knowledge gaps in their areas and develop research roadmaps for the future.

Multiple CAIRIBU RIGs established working groups during the Research Sprint, including: Uro-Aging, Urobiome, and the Uro-Voiding & Dysfunction RIGs. CAIRIBU RIGs foster intellectual cross-pollination, align critical and emerging research questions with expertise and resources, and accelerate translation of discovery to clinical and public health impact. Moreover, CAIRIBU RIGs are a key mechanism for supporting the development of students, trainees, and early-stage investigators throughout their research training.

Other RIGs in development are: 1) Patient engagement in research, 2) Urolithiasis, and 3) Pediatric urology.
