CAIRIBU Connect was a feature of the CAIRIBU Community website that was established at the very beginning of website development. In addition to the public-facing, freely-accessible CAIRIBU Community website, CAIRIBU Connect was created as a way to share minutes of leaders meetings, draft documents, and other materials not appropriate for public access.

As such, accessibility to CAIRIBU Connect was password-protected. Initially, CAIRIBU Connect was also conceived of as (1) a way to promote dialogue amongst specific CAIRIBU Community sub-groups, e.g., leaders, K12 scholars, etc.; and (2) a mechanism for internal CAIRIBU Interactions Core materials.

The CAIRIBU Interactions Core team continues to assess how CAIRIBU Connect has been used in the past and how it may be used in the future. Further innovations are therefore likely.
